President Xi Jinping Meets Cheng Li‑wun in Beijing

Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met Cheng Li‑wun, Chair of the Chinese Kuomintang (KMT), on Friday morning in Beijing.

It is the first time in a decade that a KMT chair has visited mainland China at the head of a delegation, at the invitation of the CPC Central Committee and Xi himself. The delegation had previously traveled to Jiangsu and Shanghai before arriving in Beijing.
